The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is the premier sports car series in North America formed by the merger of GRAND-AM Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series in 2014.

Powered by the strength of NASCAR with unparalleled access to resources in technology, innovation and marketing the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship reached 11.7 million unique broadcast viewers during the course of the 2016 season while fans consumed over 207,000 hours of video content via digital programming. Live TV coverage on Fox Sports in the U.S., is available in more than 90 million homes. International TV - Live full races, cut-downs and highlight shows via 17 television partners are broadcasted in 100+ countries and territories to more than 250 million homes.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship features two (2) styles of cars, Prototype and GT (Grand Touring). Both car categories have two (2) classes, Pro and Pro-Am, meaning there are four (4) classes of racing on track together, each with their own battle for the lead.

Close to twenty car manufacturers are involved in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship making it a unique marketing platform with the highest average net worth target consumer group of any fan-base in the US, with an average net worth of over $725,000.
